Species: Dinophilus taeniatus Harmer, 1889    Annelida

Preparation Type: whole mount

Prepared: E.G. Fofanova

Description: Whole mount of an adult Dinophilus taeniatus, stained with antibodies against 5-HT and α-tubulin.

Method: acetylated alpha-tubulin, nuclear staining with DAPI, serotonin

Method Description: The staining method and protocol is described in detail in: Kerbl A., Fofanova E. G., Mayorova T. D., Voronezhskaya E. E., & Worsaae K. (2016). Preparation

IBR-FEG-JA-0-4

Description: Cerebral ganglion, ventral nerve cord, mouth and circular ciliary bands innervation, as well as peripheral body wall innervation are visible. Alpha-tubulin staining revealed several types of surface cilia: locomotory and sensory.

Organs: сentral nervous system, nerve cord, nerve plexus, cerebral brain or its part, dorsal (spinal) cord or ventral cord, ganglion / ganglia, connective, commissure, neuron(s), peripheral nervous system

Methods: Immunohistochemistry - serotonin,
Immunohistochemistry - acetylated alpha-tubulin,
Immunohistochemistry - nuclear staining with DAPI
