SPSU-ODK-MAM-6-1

Description: Frontal (transverse) celloidin section through an area of a telencephalic hemisphere of a rat in the region of the hippocampus impregnated with silver salts by the Golgi method. The section shows a separately stained typical pyramidal neuron in the pyramidal layer of the hippocampus (archicortex). The neuron has a characteristic pattern of the dendritic arborization (the apical dendrite with lateral branches). The dendrites bear a large number of spines. According to the classification of E. Ramon-Molinera, these neurons are classified as highly-specialized idiodendritic cells and are similar to the pyramidal cells of the neocortex.

Organs: сentral nervous system, cerebral brain or its part

Methods: Neurohistology - Golgi method of silver impregnation of nervous elements
