Procerebrum (olfactory center) of a Roman snail impregnaed with silver nitrate by the Golgi-Colonnier method. The photo shows the region of the somata of globuli cells (the main cellular elements of the procerebrum), the inner neuropil and the root of the tentacular nerve. Some of the globuli cells are grouped in columnar structures (structural-functional modules). |
