Abstract

The article is devoted to three aspects of the study of free-living freshwater nematodes: 1) the taxonomic position and validity of the genus Raritobrilus due to the unjustified synonymization of this genus; 2) the redescription of the species R. scallensis due to its incomplete primary description and the reduction of the species R. husmanni to synonyms of R. scallensis; the basis for this synonymization was a comparative analysis of the morphology of these species; 3) replenishment of the list of nematofauna of Lake Ladoga.

Key words
