Notes on taxonomy of the subfamily Hexacentrinae with descriptions of some taxa (Orthoptera: Tettigoniidae)

Abstract. The tribe Hexacentrini, usually included in Listroscelidinae or Conocephalinae, is considered a separate subfamily consisting of about 10 genera; most of them are African, Asiatic, Australian, and New Guinean, but a single genus, Ecuaneduba Gor., is Neotropical. A new species of the genus Glenophisis Karny is described. The composition of the genus Parateuthras Bol. is discussed; a neotype of its type species, P. truncatus Bol., is designated.
