Genus Hadeocoleus Ponomarenko, 1969 (Myxophaga: Schizophoridae): atlas of extinct beetle taxa

Genus Hadeocoleus Ponomarenko, 1969 (type species: Hаdeocoleus gigas Ponomarenko, 1969, monotype)

The genus includes three species of large body size (12-40 mm) with widely explanate sides of pronotum and long elytra, moderately long and thin hind legs, especially tibiae and tarsi, as well as moderately large metacoxa. Outwardly, and especially the structure of the prothorax this genus is similar to the genus Hadeocoleodes, but differs from the latter in the larger size of body, long prosternal process and metaventrite less narrowed anteriorly.
