Systematics, zoogeography, and phylogeny of the ground-beetles (Insecta: Coleoptera: Carabidae), mainly the tribe Harpalini, of the world, with special interest in the Palaearctic and Oriental faunas. Taxonomic revision of the genus Harpalus of the world.

Range, Altai Mts, Tuva, Karelia), Uzbekistan (western Tien Shan), Kazakhstan (Dzhungar Alatau, Transili Alatau, western Tien Shan), Kirghizstan (northern and western Tien Shan, Issyk-Kul, Alai Mt. Range), Turkmenistan (Kopetdag), Georgia, Ukraine (Karpaty Mts), China (Yunnan), Turkey.
