Abstract.
Based of the study of material collected in 1975-2011, a review of the coleopterous families Scydmaenidae (18 species) and Pselaphidae (23 species) of the Chuvash Republic is presented. 18 species and 7 genera of Scydmaenidae and 21 species from 13 genera of Pselaphidae are recorded for this territory for the first time. Euplectus bescidicus Reitt. (Pselaphidae) is for the first time reported from the territory of Russia.
