All family-group, generic and specific names placed on the Official Lists and Indexes by the International
Commission on Zoological Nomenclature up to December 2007 are listed below. Names on the Official
Lists are in bold type; names in non-bold type are those placed on the Official Indexes or, in the case of
some names of type species, those that have not been ruled upon by the Commission. The Direction or
Opinion number under which each name was placed on the Official List or Index is given at the end of that
entry.
