My research interests address to bird migration, particularly nocturnal migration of passerine birds, their flight behaviour and energy expenditure of flight. My research also includes long-term monitoring of the timing of migration and numbers of migrating birds.

Work:

  • 2015 – present: researcher at the Biological Station Rybachy, Zoological Institute RAS.
  • 1991–1997: Zoological Museum, Zoological Institute RAS.

Education:

  • 2015: Ph.D. on "Nocturnal migration of Thrushes (genus Turdus) in the south-east Baltic region", Zoological Institute RAS, St. Petersburg.
  • 1991: Master of Science in Biology from St. Petersburg State University.
