General remarks
Photo-traps are used for photo and video recording of large and medium-sized animals and birds to determine the species composition of the fauna, determine the relative and absolute abundance in the study area. In most cases, places of concentration of animals are used for such observations. In hunting farms, such places are mainly fodder areas artificially created by humans (feeding grounds, salt licks, baits), while monitoring preparation is greatly simplified. In the territories of some protected areas, including wildlife sanctuaries where biotechnology is prohibited, the identification of natural places of concentration (burrows, trails, food stations, rutting areas, dead animals, etc.) is of primary importance.
