S.N. Myartseva

Abstract. Six new species of the encyrtid genus Metaphycus are described from Mexico: M. celticola sp. n., M. farfani sp. n., M. karwinskiae sp. n., M. sergueii sp. n., M. superbus sp. n., and M. tuxpan sp. n. All new species belong to insidiosus-group. The soft scale insect Differococcus argentinus (Morrison), the host of M. celticola, is recorded from Mexico for the first time.
