A new genus and species from the guild of flattened encyrtids (Hymenoptera: Encyrtidae) infesting scale insects on bamboo in Vietnam

Abstract. Vietmachus bambusicola gen. et sp. n. is described. The new genus belongs to the tribe Astymachini. It differs from the genus Astymachus in dentation of mandibles and hidden long ovipositor covered by strongly attenuated IX syntergite.
