A new species of Medetera (Diptera: Dolichopodidae) from Slovakia

Abstract. Medetera longisurstylata sp. nov. is described from Slovakia. The new species is similar to M. tuberculata Negrobov 1966 but differs from the latter in the dark legs, structure of the genitalia and the surstylus longer than the epandrium.
