Abstract. A braconid endoparasitoid, Protapanteles mygdonia (Nixon, 1973), of the severe pest of box trees, the moth Cydalima perspectalis (Walker, 1859) (Lepidoptera: Crambidae), is re-described and illustrated from the North Caucasus of Russia. This is the first discovery of a native parasitoid of box tree moth in the Western Palaearctic.
