Two new species of oribatid mites of the genus Liacarus (Acari: Oribatida) from Ethiopia

Abstract. Two species of oribatid mites genus Liacarus Michael, 1898 (Acari: Oribatida), L. paratanzicus sp. nov. and L. shipitsyni sp. nov. are described from mosses (first species also is in litter) from southern Ethiopia. In Ethiopian fauna, this genus is recorded for the first time.
