My name is Rafaela Bespalhuk, I am Brazilian, born in 1989, and since 3 years live in Germany where I work and create my art.

I graduated in molecular biology and worked few years in research, where I studied gene expression in insects.

My work as a scientist gave me an excellent insight into inner workings of life at molecular level. I had a chance to see, appreciate and understand myriads of forms, shapes and structures of life. Later I would alter and incorporate them in my art.

My paintings are an explosion of vivid colors, strong contrasts, movement and peculiar shapes that captivate the eyes of the spectator and lead them to a unknown and deep world in themselves.

I use as material mostly acrylic on canvas and also mixed media, which gives depths and texture to the objects. The results are intriguing and breathtaking.

As a young painter, I am looking forward to enhance and develop my work. Your opnion is very important for me, please feel free to contact me.

I am a big fan of the website (http://www.zin.ru/). I am a Biologist myself, I was for few years doing researches with Genetics Improvement of Silkworms in Brazil.

Since few years I moved to German and now I am an artist. I love Coleoptera and I would like to start a painting project with them, so I am writing to ask for the autorization to use some pictures of your website as a model for my paintings.

They are not going to be the same, they will basically be used as inspiration and for the anatomical details.
