Frankenbergerius armatus (Boheman, 1857)

Dagnosis. This species is most similar to F. forcipatus but can be separated by its smaller size, by having elytral intervals 2-4 with more distinct tubercles and by the parameres narrower in lateral view.

Distribution. F. armatus armatus is distributed in the Eastern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal and F. armatus tuberculatus - in Mpumalanga and Northern Province of South Africa.

Body length: 4.6-11.0 mm.
